About Us
Our Story
Hi, I'm Kisha—the owner, designer, and creator behind Jax & James. Raised in Alabama and now calling Northwest Georgia home, I've always been inspired by the traditions and slower pace of Southern life.
Jax & James began with two of the biggest inspirations in my life: my son, Jaxon ("Jax"), and the childhood memories we were creating together.
Where It All Started
When Jax was little, he practically lived in smocked clothing. I was that mom, and most of his wardrobe came from Busy Bees Smocks. What started as simply loving the brand eventually turned into something much bigger. Jax became a brand representative, which opened the door for me to begin designing for Busy Bees before later joining the company in-house.
As Jax grew older and outgrew smocks, I found myself searching for the same timeless Southern style in larger sizes. I wanted classic pieces that felt just as special for elementary school, football games, lake weekends, family vacations, and everyday adventures—but they were surprisingly hard to find.
That search became the inspiration for Jax & James.
The Heart Behind Every Design
Today, every design begins as an original idea inspired by the simple moments that make Southern living so special: back-to-school traditions, afternoons at the ball field, weekends on the lake, fishing trips, loyal dogs, holidays with family, and the memories that stay with us long after childhood.
Each illustration is thoughtfully created in my signature hand-drawn style and carefully refined into artwork that feels timeless rather than trendy. Just as important as the design itself is the garment it's printed on. I intentionally choose quality apparel that's soft, comfortable, and made to be worn season after season.
Meet Sadie
There's one member of the family you may recognize throughout our brand—Sadie.
If you've followed Jax & James for a while, you've probably seen her modeling shirts, appearing in photos, or inspiring many of our designs. She's been Jax's best friend since the day he was born and my loyal sidekick through every late night, photoshoot, new idea, challenge, and milestone along the way.
When it came time to refresh our brand, making Sadie our official logo felt like the most natural decision. Her silhouette represents more than our beloved Labrador—it represents loyalty, family, childhood adventures, and the timeless Southern lifestyle that inspired Jax & James from the very beginning.

Premium Jax & James Pocket Tees (Youth) Structured Fit
Our signature 100% cotton tees manufactured exclusively for Jax & James. These shirts feature a more structured, tailored fit while remaining soft and comfortable — designed for durability, everyday play, and a polished Southern look.
Comfort Colors Tees (Adult + Select Youth) Relaxed Fit
Garment-dyed cotton tees known for their relaxed fit and lived-in feel. These shirts have a slightly heavier weight with a vintage, broken-in comfort customers love.
Performance Tees (Youth & Adult) Athletic Fit
Lightweight, moisture-wicking athletic shirts designed to keep up with active days. Breathable and quick-drying, these are perfect for sports, outdoor activities, and warm weather.
Essential Tees (Youth & Adult) Lightweight Fit
Soft, lightweight everyday tees with a relaxed feel and breathable comfort. Compared to our Premium Jax & James Pocket Tees, Essential Tees have a less structured fit while still maintaining the same quality printing and wearability standards.

How do I choose the right kid size?
Jax & James youth apparel follows our standard brand sizing, comparable to typical youth sizing by age.
General size guide:
- XXS — 2–3 years
- XS — 4–5 years
- S — 6–7 years
- M — 8 years
- L — 9–10 years
- XL — 11–12 years
Fit may vary slightly by tee style:
- Premium Pocket Tees: structured, tailored fit
- Comfort Colors: relaxed fit
- Essential Tees: lightweight, relaxed feel
- Performance Tees: athletic fit with stretch
If your child is between sizes or you prefer room to grow, we recommend sizing up or referring to measumrents.

Most Jax & James items are printed to order.
Typical turnaround time is:
3–7 business days before shipping or local pickup notification.
During new releases or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer. We always work to get orders out as quickly as possible.
Do you offer custom orders?
Limited custom orders are accepted depending on availability and schedule.

Returns & Exchanges
Because many items are printed to order, we do not accept returns for sizing or preference changes.
However, if there is an issue with your order due to damage or printing error, please contact us within 5 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.

Jax & James LLC has recently relocated t o Rome, Georgia.
All designs are created and printed in-house or by a trusted partner, allowing us to offer consistent quality you can trust.
We ship nationwide and also offer local Rome pickup when available.
